A Packaging designer that creates fun, innovative and informative packaging, can self-art direct, objectively critique and improve own work. Be an effective problem solver who seeks out and responds to critique and art direction. The candidate has the ability to work on multiple projects, meet deadlines and maintain accuracy and quality control. This person responds well to feedback and art direction provided, and is able to act on direction and use it as a means to improve their work.

Key Responsibilities
• Create Toys packaging, Designs that embody our various Brand, meet creative and marketing objectives.
• Present work to VP of Creative and Product Development, communicating design strategy and concepts.
• Manage all creative responsibilities of assigned projects with little or no supervision.
• Experience working in a deadline oriented environment with a high attention to product quality.
• Collaborate with Project manager and Designers and create effective, packaging for company wide ,developing solutions that meet retailer needs, while maintaining brand integrity
• Provide clear direction and communicate effectively with what Art Directors, Illustrators and Photographers to create images that represent our style and branding criteria.
• Photography Management. Create and maintain shot lists: provide clear direction to the photographer, art directors and sales team; communicate sample needs to production team; and communicate shot list changes and updates to all teams.
• Must have strong knowledge of packaging construction and box structure engineering.

Knowledge & Skills
• Bachelor degree required, preferably with Graphic Design/Art focus
• Must have 3+ years Toys/advertising/retail design experience.
• Expertise in Illustrator, InDesign and PhotoShop are required.
• Strong proven design ability with emphasis on retail package structure, typography, color and composition, dynamic conceptual thinking with ability to develop multiple design solutions to any marketing challenge
• This position requires good communication, organizational and presentation skills.
• Candidate should have a fun, energetic design style with ability to adapt well to our brand.   
• Knowledge of print production with ability to review and correct color proofs is required
• Strong presentation, communication and organizational skills Ability to work on multiple projects at one time
• Experience within the Toy industry is preferred– experience with products targeted at parents and their children or technology-based consumer products would be considered
